I often walk into Ebgames (Game Stop) here in Canada and just randomly ask them to check on their computers as to when the next Yakuza game is coming out. I do this despite the fact that I get the press releases sent right to my inbox.
Why? I want them to order more than one freaking boxed copy of the game! Anyway, SEGA has finally announced that Yakuza Zero will be headed exclusively to the PS4 as boxed and digital release for early 2017 (January 24 to be exact) in the West and this includes Europe.

Japan is getting Platinum Games speed crazy action title on October 21, 2010. This is one of most exciting titles in SEGA’s upcoming library but there is no word on the Western release dates.
I wonder how SEGA will choose a date to release it in the West as it is a new IP – if you remember SEGA held back Bayonetta until January to distinguish it from the glut of titles launched in the holiday season.
October 21 is almost out of the shadow of Halo: Reach and the console manufacturers seem interested in pushing motion control devices this Holiday season. This is pure speculation but hopefully, we will get the game before the year is out.
We are less than a month from experiencing classic SEGA arcade goodness. After Burner Climax will be lighting up the spring skies this April.
The XBLA touches down on April 21, 2010 for 800 MS Points and the PSN version will drop the next day at $9.99 (US).

SEGA of Japan is launching the fourth iteration of Yakuza franchise on March 18, 2010. The game is set to be priced at the ¥7,980 mark (roughly $90 US).
Early Spring is looking to become the season of the Yakuza in the West and the East. I can’t wait to see the launch numbers of the title after the all of the hype.
