Time is short around Christmas for the Shiro team, so to save time grouping of updates must occur! Let’s do this!
First, in the video above you can see that on the tablet version of Sonic CD – and probably the console versions too – the lyrics have had to be cut from the intro video (and possibly ending video too) of the Sonic CD port. TSS have the full story, that points to legal issues. While it is a bit disappointing if they aren’t there as what is left is a very simplistic piece of music, I personally will be thinking of it as Karaoke mode.
NEXT! There is a Twitter-based petition begging SEGA to place Crush 40’s songs into Rock Band. This is something I have been desperate for for a while now. I regularly go to RockBand.com/request and ask for this there. If everyone interested did both, maybe Harmonix and SEGA would both see there are a lot of people who want to play these songs on their fake plastic instruments!
Third, required reading for all you dedicated followers of Shiro. Two big names in the SEGA fandom who also happen to work at SEGA and worked on Sonic Generations have written retrospectives on working on the best Sonic game of the last 10 years. We have Syaming Li’s write up, he is in my opinion the best Sonic fan-artist there is. Also TRiPPY of NiGHTSintoDreams.com. While we are talking about NiGHTS, don’t forget to support the petition to get NiGHTS ported to modern consoles.
Finally, something a bit weird and different. Weird and different is kind of my calling-card. It’s a guitar cover of Ice Cap Zone, complete with a NOFX shirt. Instant cool points.
